Work Group Industrial Geography

 

Welcome to the online presence of the WG Industrial Geography! We are a network of German-speaking economic geographers. Our conferences take place every year.

Our meetings offer a panel to discuss current research concepts and ongoing research projects in an informal atmosphere. Particularly junior researchers and PhD students are welcome to present their proposals. Industrial geography should not necessarily be the presentation’s main subject. We are also looking forward to listen to presentations about projects dealing with related subjects and industries, e.g. business-related services, environmentally oriented economic geography etc.

The last meeting took place on 9 and 10 November 2023 and was hosted by Prof. Dr Hans-Martin Zademach (Catholic University of Eichstätt).

The next meeting will take place on 14 and 15 November 2024 and will be hosted by Prof. Dr Dr Thomas Brenner (Philipps University of Marburg).
